A great day of sailing was had by 35+ ice sailing skippers on Mecox Bay Southampton for the Long Island Championship Ice Sailing Regatta Saturday February 12, 2011. Several types of iceboats including Gambit, DN, J14, Yankee, Skimmer, Arrow, Renegade, South Bay Scooter, and many home built designs appeared for the fun.The weather provided the skippers with plenty of wind from the west at 16 to 22 mph.
